The Setting

Liberate the soul

Sitting in relative isolation, overlooking the orchards and vineyards surrounding the village of Naramata, BC is Forgotten Hill Bed & Breakfast. Surrounded by elegant Ponderosa Pines, tall grasses, wild yarrow and tumbling mustard, Forgotten Hill is set on a totally private, fenced and gated, 148 acre estate. There are the most amazing, panoramic views of vineyards, lake, mountains and wide open sky. A place where the eagles soar, the crows frolic in the sky and where one can leave one's cares behind.

Bring your binoculars.

The Location

Tranquil, seductive

Forgotten Hill Bed & Breakfast is located near the south west corner of Cottonwood Estate, overlooking the village of Naramata, offering views of the south end of the 110km long Okanagan Lake. Penticton to the south, Trout Creek to the west and Summerland to the north west.

Below Forgotten Hill, Naramata spreads gently along the east bank of Okanagan Lake, just north of Penticton and across from Summerland. It is a quiet, relaxed, agricultural area of vineyards and orchards and winding rural roads. The growing Naramata Bench appellation is derived from this unassuming, pastoral little village.

The Island Room - Bed

The Island Room

Slowing turning fans & serenity

The use of colour emphasises impressions of sapphire waters and sandy beaches. This is a room of textures and restraint, coolly chic. Simple lines, shades of espresso, cream on white with a dash of turquoise and silver.

The Island Room is an oasis, inviting relaxation.

The Island Room

The Island Room

Effortless tranquillity

Soft, velvety cushions, gracefully curved cane easy chairs and a unique mango wood table invite repose.

Private deck

Comfortable armchairs, a glass of wine and good company. Penticton views to the south and Naramata at your feet.

The Elephant Room

The Elephant Room

Sandalwood, turmeric & hot spices

A warm, mellow and inviting room with a touch of the exotic. Elephants walking across the curtains and hand painted bedside tables enhance the exotic feel.

The richness of a beautiful wall hanging from Rajasthan, made from the cast off jackets of the Maharaja's children, imparts a certain sumptuousness to the Elephant Room.

The Elephant Room

The Elephant Room

A cosmopolitan cocoon

The elegant silhouette and sinuous curves of the paisley covered wing chairs augment the mellow feel and look.

The Elephant Room

The Elephant Room

An eclectic mix

Marble walls, large soaker tub, a place for wine glasses and a tub filler that looks like an elephant's trunk. We offer a shower head as well.

The Garden Room

The Garden Room

A reservation for two?

The Garden Room offers charm and romance.

The romance of a canopied, four-poster bed, draped with willowy curtains. The romance of winemaking is depicted in a medieval tapestry from Burgundy (we are in wine country, after all).

Prints of Roses by Redouté, one of the artists at the Court of Versailles, add their charm to an appealing room.

The Garden Room

The Garden Room

Delightfully intimate

The hint of earlier times is reflected in the fully upholstered, tapestry covered, reading armchairs. The perfect arrangement for a glass of wine before bed.

The Garden Room

The Garden Room

A little paradoxical

The bathroom is polished and modern with a touch of the old world in its stone-like tub tiles that go right up to the 9' ceiling.
